Mostly treats, and some tricks, were on display Halloween night for some MGH Institute students when they gave out candy to hundreds of trick-or-treaters who flocked to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown.
By the end of the night, more than a dozen students passed out nearly 1,100 pieces of candy. Some of the IHP students dressed as angels, a cat, a devil, a flower, Waldo, Stitch, a Ravenclaw Wizard, and a fairy.
Students who participated included:
CSD Class of 2026: Edan Caggiano, Amanda Harris, Olivia Menyo, Sofie Schmidt, Mia Obermueller, Victoria Catipan, Jasmine Liu
CSD Class of 2025: Mackenzie Looze (SGA President)
DEN Class of 2026: Catleya Dureza
DEN Class of 2025: Sierra Gage
Cognitive Neuroscience Group: Gail Steward, Annika Schafer, Pravi Jain, Kathryn Rabon, Karen Gomez, Kelsey Black.
"The event was absolutely wonderful,” said Gage, a nursing student and organizer. “It is always a great time when the IHP gets to go out and show their support in the Charlestown community."
Support for the candy distribution and student recruitment was a joint effort between the Office of Strategic Communications, Campus Operations, School of Nursing, and the Student Government Association.
