The annual holiday gift drive, the Angel Tree, has officially come to a close. Faculty, staff and all who participated in the drive dropped off their presents on Tuesday to be given to their designated child.
This year, 45 families will be receiving donated gifts for the holiday season. 43 of the 45 gift requests were fulfilled from the Angel Tree, and using funds donated from the IHP nursing program honor society Sigma Theta Tau, gifts for the remaining 2 children were purchased, completing the 45 total tags.
"I heard from many of the students, faculty and staff who took tags that it’s something they look forward to doing every year," said member of the IHP Staff Community Service Committee, Valerie Grande.
