The goals of our research work are:
- to identify speech markers with potential to be used clinically for AD diagnosis and prognosis,
- to characterize the underlying physiological and neuropathological mechanisms of speech impairments in individuals with dementia; and
- to develop interventional and preventative strategies to promote oromotor and cognitive function reserve for patients at risk of developing age-related neurodegenerative diseases.
