Dr. Morse is a doctorally prepared nurse researcher holding four board certifications: Nationally Certified School Nurse (National Board for Certification of School Nurses), Certified Nurse Educator (National League for Nursing), Pain Management Nurse (American Nurses Credentialing Center) and Family Nurse Practitioner (American Nurses Credentialing Center). Dr. Morse was recently inducted as a Fellow in the National Academy of School Nursing in recognition of her superior achievements in school health and contributions to the school nursing specialty. She is also the past-president and a current board member of the National Board for Certification of School Nurses. Dr. Morse conducts research related to pediatric pain and school health in both the community and acute care settings. She has taught nursing courses across foundational and specialized topics, including pharmacology, health assessment, nursing fundamentals, community health, acute care, and pediatrics. Dr. Morse currently provides direct nursing care to children with painful conditions on a part-time basis at Boston Children's Hospital.
