Trisha Zeytoonjian, MSN, RN
Trish Zeytoonjian ’07, MSN, RN, is the Clinical Faculty Coordinator for the Interprofessional Dedicated Education Unit (IPDEU) and Instructor for both the ABSN and DEN programs. She also teaches the Orthopedic lecture to the ABSN students in their summer session.
Beginning in the fall of 2011, the IPDEU is an innovative educational experience that allows students to participate, learn, and practice team based medicine. This program allows for an educational and clinical relationship between Nursing, Physical Therapy and Communication Sciences & Disorders students on acute care units at Massachusetts General Hospital. The students work together to foster interprofessional teamwork, clinical skills and begin to understand the roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team while caring for patients.
In addition to working at the IHP, Trish continues to work as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has worked in Orthopedics for over ten years in some capacity, and enjoys caring for patients with a wide range of orthopedic issues, especially those in the oncology population.
Trish received her BA from Lafayette College in Spanish and her RN and MSN from the MGH Institute with a focus on the adult population. She was published in 2004 in the Journal of Foot and Ankle after doing research with Orthopedic Oncologists at MGH. She holds multiple Partners in Excellence Awards for Teamwork and received the Judith Fong Nursing Faculty Prize in 2010.
