Sarah McKinnon, OTD, MPA, is an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Department of Occupational Therapy's newly developed Post-Professional OTD program in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Dr. McKinnon comes to the Institute from Boston University where she received her Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate degrees and served as faculty in both the entry-level and post-professional OTD programs. Dr. McKinnon earned a Master of Public Administration from Roger Williams University with a specialization in health care administration, and has an AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation.

As a member of the Mass General Brigham Healthcare system since 2011, Dr. McKinnon continues to be involved in clinical practice and scholarship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She served on the Board of Directors for the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee (AOTPAC) from 2014-2020 and is the current Government Representative for the Massachusetts Association for Occupational Therapy (MAOT).
