Sara L. Smoller MS, APRN-BC
Sara Smoller, RN, MSN, ANP-BC is Instructor in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is also a graduate of the Institute’s Direct Entry Nursing Program and is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with additional training in Women’s Health. She practices as an adult NP at a family practice/urgent care center in Swampscott, MA. Her clinical interests include health literacy, chronic disease management and prevention, global health and quality improvement/systems management.
Sara leads 3rd year Nurse Practitioner students from the Institute on a medical service trip to the Dominican Republic each January and is currently involved in expanding that program by training additional faculty leaders.
In addition to her clinical work and faculty role, Sara is the clinical co-director at her practice working to implement quality improvement initiatives and improve patient care/experiences as well as staff productivity and satisfaction. She has previously worked as a Registered Nurse on an inpatient neurology floor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and for the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) as their Continuing Education Unit Leader.
