Russell Abbatiello MEd

Within the Center for Career and Professional Development, Russell Abbatiello directs and promotes all career-related activities for students and alumni. Russell serves as the Director of Career and Professional Development in the Office of Student Affairs and Services Division.
Russell has considerable experience in both the academic and professional sectors of career advising and training having worked as career transition counselor, high school administrator, and guidance counselor. His work at the MGH Institute includes individual and group consultation for resume writing, interviewing, and networking skills with attention to the burgeoning realm of social media. He has developed a variety of career‐related virtual and on campus resources to support our growing student population and alumni.
Russell’s past experience assisting displaced workers during the 2008 recession has been featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Segments of interviews with Russell have appeared in the Boston Globe, Patriot Ledger, and CBS Boston News.
