Dr. Zipse studies language and other aspects of cognition in adults with acquired brain injury, with a particular focus on the timing of cognitive processes.
Current projects address the following questions:
- How are executive processes central to learning disrupted in adults who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI)?
- Why is processing rhythm difficult for some people with aphasia?
- Which aspects of music-based therapies for aphasia are particularly beneficial?
