Community health centers serve an important role in delivering primary care to vulnerable populations. Community Health Centers also provide crucial preventative and dental care, mental health care, substance use disorder treatments, and community-based services to those in need, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. In Massachusetts alone, 300 community health sites serve more than one million state residents. Now, during a global pandemic, community health centers are more important than ever.
