Russell Abbatiello MEd

Russell Abbatiello is Director for Career Development [2] in the Office of Student and Alumni Services at the MGH Institute. He promotes and delivers all career-related services for students and alumni in collaboration with programs.
Russell has considerable experience in both the academic and professional sectors of career advising and training having worked a career transition consultant, high school administrator, and guidance counselor. His work at the Institute includes individual and group consultation in resume writing, interviewing, and networking skills with attention to the burgeoning realm of social media. He has developed a variety of career‐related virtual and onsite resources to support our growing student population and alumni.
Russell received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of Holy Cross and a Master of Arts in Education from Boston College. His consulting work assisting professionals displaced during the 2008 recession has been featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Segments of interviews with Russell have appeared in the Boston Globe, Patriot Ledger, and CBS Boston News- WBZ Radio 1030.
