Can I receive Financial Aid for this program?
Do not wait until you've been accepted to the program to learn about financial aid options available. Contact our Financial Aid office as soon as you have applied to ensure that you will be able to take advantage of all options available. When you apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you'll need the MGH Institute Federal School Code: G22316.
Since this is not considered a full-time graduate program, you may not be eligible for most traditional financial aid programs. However, you may be eligible for employer tuition reimbursement if this is a graduate program of study in your respective profession.
Funding to attend the courses at the Center for Medical Simulation is also available. Please see the call for nursing scholarship applications for details.
Graduates of the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Educators in Health Professions and the Center for Medical Simulation have streamlined access to either the Certificate of Completion or the Certificate of Advanced Studies in this concentration. Please contact the Health Professions Education Program for further information.
Additionally, the Institute accepts tuition vouchers that have been earned by institutions, practices or individuals who provide clinical education experiences for MGH Institute students.
May I apply to this program as an international applicant?
Because a significant portion of the curriculum for the Certificate of Advance Study (CAS) in Health Professions Education is taught on-line, international students seeking an F-1 visa through MGH Institute are not eligible to apply to this program.
If you are an international student not seeking an F-1 visa through the Institute, you are welcome to apply. Please consult the Office of Admissions early in the application process for additional guidelines and information.
Who may I contact for more information?
For questions or more information, please email the Health Professions Education team.
Can I visit the campus?
Yes, we encourage you to attend an information session. This is a great way to learn more about the program, and to meet faculty and staff members. Please refer to the Information Session page for additional information and upcoming dates.
