Academic Support

These services are distributed in several areas of the Institute.

Admission

Manages student recruitment, application, and admission activities.

Alumni Office

Maintains the official alumni database and can provide contact information for former students. This office also handles alumni outreach, events, services, and means for alumni to maintain contact with the Institute. Contact alumni@mghihp.edu

Bursar

Handles student billing, including health insurance and refunds.

Career Services

Provides students and alumni assistance with career advising, job search strategies, resume critique, practice interviewing, and employer recruiting.

Communications and Marketing

Plans, designs, and executes communications, public relations, branding, and marketing strategies for the MGH Institute of Health Professions. This includes the website, Daily News, logos and templates, and photography.

Commuting

Information about discounted parking and MBTA passes, shuttle services, parking, and other modes for traveling to the Institute.

Development

Oversees:

  • Corporate and Foundations Relations - Identifies and secures philanthropic support from corporate and foundation sources in support of the Institute's fundraising priorities.

  • Fundraising - Manages all charitable gifts including the Annual Fund and the Gala.

Disability Services

Supports equal access to the Institute's programs and services for students who experience a disability.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

A workplace-based consultation, short-term counseling, information and referral program for employees and their families, as well as students of the MGH Institute who may be experiencing difficulties that affect their personal lives or work performance.

Campus Operations

Oversees buildings, cleaning and maintenance, phone/voicemail, furniture, and emergency procedures. Requests should be submitted through the HelpDesk.

Finance and Administration

Oversees all of the Institute’s financial dealings.

Financial Aid

Helps students create comprehensive financing solutions for their education.

HelpDesk Tickets

Request assistance with information technology, facilities, instructional design, and the web site.

Human Resources

Manages personnel policies and services, including recruitment, retention, compensation, performance management, and professional development.

Information Technology

Oversees institutional and classroom technology needs. Requests should be submitted through the HelpDesk

Institutional Effectiveness

Collects and analyzes data that leads to evidence-based decision making, enabling the Institute to attain its mission.

Instructional Design

Supports faculty on a range of course-design issues, including developing a new course and improving a current course.

International Student Services

Provides the tools and support necessary to foster growth and success for the Institute’s international students. See Student and Alumni Services.

Personal Information Changes 

Links and instructions for managing and communicating name and address changes or other changes that may affect your benefits.

President, Office of

Guides the institution in following its mission and vision and strategically plans for its future.

Provost, Office of

Oversees and supports all academic programs, faculty, research, and clinical affiliations.

Registrar

Provides up-to-date course information and maintains all student records. This office also responsible for Course-Related Teaching Space assignments, Commencement, filing theses, and degree verification.

Reimbursement and Travel

Procedures for making travel arrangements and being reimbursed for the expenses related to travel.

Travel and Reimbursement

Procedures for making travel arrangements and being reimbursed for the expenses related to travel.

Veterans Services

The Registrar's Office assists eligible student veterans, reservists and dependents in obtaining educational benefits in compliance with the procedures and regulations of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
