Lesley Maxwell, MS, CCC-SLP, is Director of Clinical Education for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and directs the Speech, Language and Literacy Center. As Associate Professor she teaches and practices in the area of pediatrics with specialty interests in early childhood speech and language disorders, autism phonological disorders, and literacy.


Bonnie Halvorson-Bourgeois, MS, CCC-SLP, coordinates Literacy Services for the Center and is also Assistant Professor in the CSD program. She has both teaching and clinical experience in the areas of reading and reading instruction.


Marjorie Nicholas, PhD, CCC-SLP, coordinates the adult Aphasia Center. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist for over 15 years at the Boston Veteran's Hospital Healthcare System. She is Associate Chair and Professor in the CSD program, Associate Director in the PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences program, and a research assistant professor in the Neurology Department of Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Nicholas is an expert in the areas of aphasia, language in normal aging, and dementia.


Eileen Hunsaker, MS, CCC-SLP, coordinates the adult Aphasia Center. She worked as a speech-language pathologist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston for several years before joining the Aphasia Center in 2006. She is Assistant Professor in the CSD department. Eileen has worked as a speech-language pathologist for over 15 years with a specialty in rehabilitation of adult neurogenic communication disorders.
