Megan Schliep, PhD, CCC-SLP, MPH

Megan Schliep, PhD, CCC-SLP, MPH is the Director of the Online Prerequisites for the Health Professions. She has been involved in the Online Prerequisites program since 2017 and served as Lead of the Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) Prerequisite Courses before becoming director.
In addition to her role in the Prerequisite Program, Megan is completing a post-doctoral research fellowship with Dr. Prue Plummer, Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at MGH IHP, where they are exploring recovery and the interaction of cognitive-communication and mobility factors in individuals following stroke.
Megan completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2020. She is a certified speech-language pathologist and works clinically at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Research Interests
Megan is interested in language recovery and neuroplasticity in aphasia, with a specific focus on of the measurement of language and cognitive skills across the care continuum and the role of this information in predicting patient recovery patterns and improving patient outcomes.
