When Department of Physician Assistant Studies Instructor Jenny Fanuele revealed in January she was diagnosed with breast cancer, students, faculty, and staff sprang into action to support her while she battled the illness.
Thirty-five undergraduates from across the country participated in the Mentorship Program for Underrepresented Groups in Healthcare, which was created by IHP students to prepare and support minoritized students wishing to pursue graduate degrees in the health sciences.
Suggestions made by Assistant Professor Dr. Mary Beth Kadlec and Allison Klowan, OTD ’21, played a major role in creating a more sensory friendly and accessible place for people with disabilities to watch the Boston Red Sox’ Triple A affiliate.
