Lisa Quinn, PhD, AGACNP-BC, RN, OCN
Dr. Lisa Quinn (she/her/hers) has a dual-appointment between the MGH IHP and the MGH Department of Neurology. She works as a Research Nurse Practitioner in the Alzheimer's Clinical & Translational Research Unit (ACTRU) conducting study visits, collaborating with physicians, patients, their caregivers, and research coordinators. ACTRU runs both large clinical drug trials and smaller, investigator-initiated pilot studies. She is particularly interested in how brain health intersects with mental health, memory, and coping mechanisms.
At the IHP, she teaches healthcare policy courses to both ABSN and Master's-level nursing students with a focus on social justice and equity.
Dr. Quinn is a member of the Steering Committee for the Center for Climate Change, Climate Justice, and Health, the School of Nursing Awards & Recognition Committee, and the Appeals Committee.
Her clinical research at ACTRU involves patients with memory disorders, mainly from Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), and other neurodegenerative diseases. She is involved in both large pharmaceutical (industry-sponsored) drug trials as well as investigator-initiated studies.
