Kristina Green has been an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions since 2015. Dr. Green teaches in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She has been board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2001 and has several years of clinical experience as an RN in inpatient critical care and medical-surgical nursing. Prior to assuming a faculty role, Dr. Green practiced in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine at Lahey Clinic Medical Center. She also has practiced in an outpatient cardiology and primary care practice.

Dr. Green currently practices in homecare, conducting comprehensive wellness assessments, both in-home and via telehealth. Her areas of clinical interest include cardiovascular disease,  critical care, complex care, harm-reduction, risk management, adolescent health and the identification and care of trafficked persons.

Dr. Green earned the Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2014. Her doctoral capstone was on the development of a cardiology fellowship program for nurse practitioners.
