Kristin Baker Niendorf, MS, CGC is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and serves on the Research Oversight Board for the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program at MGH Institute of Health Professions. Ms. Niendorf is board certified genetic counselor with 25 years of experience in clinical genetic counseling, research, patient advocacy, and education. Previously at MGH, Ms. Niendorf was a senior genetic counselor at the Center for Cancer Risk Assessment (CCRA) Program and a board member of the Partners IRB.

Professionally, Ms. Niendorf has held several leadership positions for the National Society of Genetic Counselors including two terms on the Board of Directors, chair of the Cancer Special Interest Group, and chair of the Core Skills Task Force. She has also served as the assistant editor of the Journal of Genetic Counseling. She was the first chair of the Minnesota Genetic Counselors Association. Ms. Niendorf's advocacy work includes a founding role in the SuperYou genetic counseling awareness campaign and leading the effort for genetic counseling licensure for the state of Minnesota. Ms. Niendorf has taught and supervised for five genetic counseling graduate programs.
