John Wright, MD, is the Global Head of Preclinical and Clinical Research, and Medical Affairs for DePuy Synthes, a division of Johnson & Johnson. Previously, he was an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 1991 until 2017 and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School. During that time, he was the Clinical Director for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, the Director of Resident Education and Medical Student Rotations, and as the Surgeon-in-Charge of the operating rooms at the Brigham. He was educated at Harvard College, the School of Medicine; Auckland University, New Zealand; and the Combined Harvard Orthopaedic residency program. His research interests centered on patient outcomes in total knee replacement surgery and the economics of health care delivery.
