Ms. Jonas has worked as a clinical genetic counselor for over 15 years, working in prenatal, pediatric, adult, and oncology clinics; her most recent experience before coming to the MGH Institute has been as a prenatal genetic counselor at Tufts Medical Center. She has also worked as a research study coordinator at the Autism Consortium and has been active in initiating a support group for parents who have experienced prenatal loss.

Research Interests

Ms. Jonas’ research interests include genetic counseling and testing in the prenatal and pediatric/adult settings, disability studies, genetic counseling education, diversity and health disparities in genetic counseling, and the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetic and genetic testing and research for individuals, families, and communities.
