Join us for an interactive, energy-filled session where the worlds of improv comedy and interprofessional teams collide. The mission should you choose to accept it is to engage in a playful and rewarding experience that allows you to explore, practice, and implement the core competencies of interprofessional education while utilizing the techniques and fundamental principles of improvisation in a safe environment. Come to this session if you are interested in thinking differently about how to interact with your team, are leading a team and think that this approach might be a way to build comradery and connection within it, or you are curious to learn how goofy theater games are turned into serious skill-building exercises.
Leading the session are Virginia Commonwealth University faculty members, Elizabeth Byland, MFA, Instructor and Head of Improv Performance and Applied Improv, and Alan Dow, MD, MSHA, Assistant Vice President, Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care Professor, Internal Medicine.
Register here if you are ready to have some laughs, turn on your camera, and engage with members of the IHP community.
This session is open to alums and students.
