The IHP Prohibits Conference Attendance

-March 6, 2020-

The MGH Institute will follow the recent conference travel and attendance policy that Partners is implementing. Effective Monday, March 9 we are indefinitely prohibiting employees and students from attending all conferences, locally, domestically, or internationally. Any business-related costs associated with conference travel already planned will be incurred by Partners.

We are also prohibiting the hosting of conferences that draw individuals from outside our organization. Regular internal business meetings and events can continue. For example, the Institute’s Staff Development Day scheduled for Monday, March 9 will proceed as planned.

We are not banning other travel at this point, however our Travel Advisory remains in full effect, prohibiting travel to countries designated as high risk by the Centers for Disease Control. We also strongly encourage that you avoid any travel outside of the United States during this time.

Thank you for your ongoing attention to this important issue.
