COVID Immunization

All Institute students in academic programs (unless designated as exempt) are required to comply with the COVID-19 Vaccination policy.

Students must submit their proof of receiving 1 bivalent booster vaccine OR a completed series of a COVID-19 vaccine (both doses of Pfizer or Moderna, single dose of Johnson & Johnson) to vaccinecheck.massgeneralbrigham.org OR have an approved medical or religious exemption.
Students must also submit proof of meeting the COVID-19 requirement into their Complio account. For guidance on how to populate your Complio account, visit the IHP’s Immunization and Certification page.

Exemption Request Process

Students seeking an exemption for medical or religious reasons for the COVID-19 vaccine must submit a request using the following processes:

Medical exemption: those who seek a medical exemption due to medical contraindications (e.g., a previous severe or immediate allergic reaction to a vaccine or the components of a COVID-19) must complete an exemption form and provide documentation from a qualified health care provider to studentcompliance [at] mghihp.edu (studentcompliance[at]mghihp[dot]edu) with subject line: Medical Exemption Request. This request will be subject to review by Occupational Health.
Religious exemption: those who seek a religious exemption due to sincerely held religious beliefs must complete an exemption form that will be subject to review by Human Resources. Documentation may be required. Contact the compliance director for guidance on this process.

Important: Both exemption request documents require your PeopleSoft/Employee ID number. Returning students can find this number on the back of your student ID above the barcode. Incoming students without a student ID can email commit [at] mghihp.edu (commit[at]mghihp[dot]edu) to request your PeopleSoft/Employee ID number.
