Dr. Bennett is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and Lecturer for Online Prerequisites at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has a background studying processes of neurodegeneration in the brain and leads a research laboratory that investigates Alzheimer’s disease. Her current work examines tau protein, a key component of neurofibrillary tangles which are a central feature of Alzheimer’s, and how it promotes inflammation and dysfunction in the smallest blood vessels in the brain.
