Hyun Jung is a Ph.D. student in Rehabilitation Sciences and a doctoral research fellow in the Department of Physical Therapy at MGH IHP, working under Dr. Shweta Gore.
She previously worked at the Center for Dementia in South Korea, where she led cognitive therapy group activities for older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Additionally, Hyun Jung served as an inpatient and outpatient occupational therapist at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, where she treated a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, referred by neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and psychiatry departments. Her primary patients were older adults with acute to subacute neurological and cardiovascular conditions.

Hyun Jung also contributed to hospital-wide initiatives, including environmental modifications and caregiver education to prevent falls in inpatient wards, and early mobilization programs for patients with cardiovascular disease, emphasizing the role of occupational therapists in these efforts.
