Gregory Pauly is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO). In these roles, Greg provides executive oversight of clinical operations for all clinical and academic departments at the MGH and MGPO. The MGH is the largest teaching hospital at Harvard Medical School with an annual budget of $6B. MGH is also the largest employer in Massachusetts with close to 30,000 employees. The MGPO is the largest physician organization in New England with over 3,700 physicians. As a member of MassGeneral Brigham healthcare system, Greg leads efforts to improve and align ambulatory care focusing on access, and the patient and provider experience. 

Greg received a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s degree in hospital administration from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Greg has served in leadership roles with several professional organizations including the AAMC and the COO Roundtable Group. Greg has also served on many boards including Nantucket Cottage Hospital, New England Life Care, Milton Library Foundation, and CodaMetrix.
