Denise Ambrosi, MS, CCC-SLP, is director of Accreditation for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (SRN), where she has worked for 33 years in clinical and administrative positions.

As Director of Accreditation, Denise has primary accountability for the vision, development, implementation, and oversight of all accreditation processes for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network in order to assure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines for hospital level and skilled nursing patient care.

As former director of the Speech Language Pathology Department at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, she was responsible for guiding the practice and professional growth of speech-language pathologists across the rehabilitation programs, including oversight of the graduate student clinical education program for several years.

Denise joined the MGH Institute of Health Professions as Clinical Instructor for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2000; and was promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor in 2012. She taught the curriculum course, Dysphagia in Adults and Children, for 16 years and continues to be involved as clinical mentor.

Research Interests

Ms. Ambrosi has a specific interest in patient outcomes following acute rehabilitation in the areas of dysphagia and adult neurogenic communication disorders in persons who have sustained brain injuries, including those with disorders of consciousness.
