Dr. Gabriela Flores obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Physiology from San Francisco State University, where she was distinguished as a Presidential Scholar and Summa Cum Laude. She is a graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and recipient of the DPT Presidential Scholarship. While at the IHP, she participated in research examining the effects of a mentoring program for racial and ethnic minority graduate students (K. Naidoo). Gabriela is a practicing physical therapist at an acute care hospital in California, in addition to being a teaching assistant for A&P I Lab. She appreciates working amongst an interdisciplinary team and enjoys the variety of populations and conditions she treats, including patients post orthopedic surgery, acute stroke, those with cardiac impairments, and more.
