Federal Cares & CRSAA Act Funding

 Reporting

  • MGH Institute of Health Professions has applied for and received emergency federal funding through the CARES Act, CRRSAA Act, and the ARP.
  • A total of $1,242,714  from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) has been allotted to go directly to students in the form of emergency grants.  
  • There are an estimated 1629 students who would be eligible to for this funding under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act. 
  • Grants will be distributed in different ways.  Students will be awarded through pre-identification of those students who would not graduate on time and also a Special Application Process has been developed so we can determine those students with greater need and expenses.  In addition, all degree and certificate program students were awarded block grants of $125, $300, and another block of $450 for expenses incurred due to the campus disruption, pivot to on-line learning and other COVID related student expenses.    
  • We are required to report the total amount spent and the number of students every quarter.
  • As of 10/01/2021,  we have awarded a total of $1,200,825 to 1488 students in HEERF funds.
