Contact a Librarian
Jessica Bell, Director of the Library and Instructional Design, and Amanda Tarbet, Reference Librarian, are here to help you navigate the library services and resources.
The Library Resources and Services website is the main source of information about the collections and services available to the Institute. The library also maintains a more detailed guide to Faculty Services for more information.
Below are some additional resources and services available to you as Institute faculty and to help you start making the most of our library.
Visit the Course Materials and Readings page in Faculty Compass to find out how to link to articles and eBooks in the library's databases, put readings on reserve, places to find multimedia materials, and the rules you need to follow to do it legally.
If you have an assignment that requires your students to use library collections, you will want to consider offering your students help from a librarian. The help can come in several forms:
Contact Ask a Librarian for more information.
Contact Ask a Librarian for assistance with:
Treadwell Interlibrary Loan
Use this service to request any article that is not in Treadwell's collection, and you will receive a PDF, usually within 1-2 business days. Be sure to use your Institute email address and select MGH Institute of Health Professions in the billing information section so that the service is free of charge for you.
Zotero is the online bibliographic management application available to the Institute.
