Instructional Design Consultations
As a faculty development resource, the MGH Institute Instructional Designers foster a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching. We collaborate with Institute faculty to improve the student learning experience through the application of evidence-based practices.
We provide faculty support through a variety of methods including confidential one-on-one consultations, workshops, seminars, and online resources.
Whether seeking a one-time consultation or assistance with an ongoing project or issue, the instructional designers can help faculty:
- Develop new courses or curriculum
- Identify opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness
- Redesign a course or course activities
- Incorporate technology into teaching
- Adopt active learning strategies
- Teach online
Instructional Designer offer workshops and seminars throughout the year on a range of topics.
MGH Institute faculty voluntarily solicit Instructional Design services in order to enhance their teaching and improve student learning. Mindful of establishing trust in a voluntary service, the Instructional Designers maintain the confidentiality of faculty consultations including the identity of faculty, topics of discussion, and types of services provided.
