-March 19, 2021-

As the next phase in expanding access to student study space, the following changes will be implemented as of Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Students will no longer be required to preregister for study space. Students can come to campus and use any available seat while still maintaining social distance and other aspects of the policy as outlined on the Institute’s website. The number of students per room remains the same. Students must continue to access these buildings through the check-in stations.
•    Preregistering is no longer required in either building.
•    2CW study hours on Saturdays will be expanded from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

The new schedule:

  • Shouse Building: Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • Room 322 and 4th Floor Study are for quiet individual study.
    • Rooms 305 and 309 are for individual or group study.
    • Study groups must adhere to social distancing.
    • Study groups can include off-campus students via Zoom.
  • 2CW 2nd Floor Labs: Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • Rooms 220 and 230 are for group practice. Study groups must adhere to social distancing and, when practicing hands-on skills, wear a face shield.
    • Study groups can include off-campus students via Zoom.

We will continue to review how we can expand access as Massachusetts, Boston, and CDC guidance changes are implemented.
