Courtney Standish Hernandez, MS, RD, CWPC, is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in Nutrition Communication from the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition and a Certified Wellness Program Coordinator. She teaches Nutrition in our online prerequisite course offerings.

She is also a wellness representative for the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association. The Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA) provides group health insurance to Massachusetts cities, towns, and other public entities. 

As a wellness representative, her key responsibilities include building positive relationships with the municipal member groups; assisting them in the development, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of their wellness programs; and participating in the development of new strategies and programs that support the growth and ongoing success of the wellness program.

Prior to working at MIIA, Courtney was a senior nutritionist/senior account manager with Wellness Workdays where she routinely taught behavior change classes in areas of weight management, hypertension, brain health, stress management, and diabetes. She also provided individual nutrition counseling on weight management, sports nutrition, cholesterol, and other disease management issues.
