Alex Wolf (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions School of Nursing. He teaches courses in the Accelerated BSN and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner programs. His primary area of scholarly interest is focused on better preparing nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide palliative care to patients and families dealing with serious illnesses. Since 2023, Dr. Wolf has served on the national faculty for the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC). In addition to his academic work, Dr. Wolf practices as a nurse practitioner in the Department of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Wolf received his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Virginia in 2016. An experienced advanced practice nurse, Dr. Wolf holds board certifications as an adult-gerontology acute care clinical nurse specialist and nurse practitioner, as well as hospice and palliative care. He is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and the National League for Nursing.
