Alan M. Leichtner, MD, MSHPEd, is an affiliated faculty member in the Center for Interprofessional Studies and Innovation and teaches in the Department of Health Professions Education at MGH Institute of Health Professions. 

His other responsibilities include serving as Associate Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs of the Department of Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, and directing the Boston Children’s Hospital Teaching Academy, an organization designed to support scholarship in medical education and advance the careers of educators. 

His interests in education include interprofessional education, faculty development, and the role of feedback in teaching and learning.
