Pediatric sim lab for the School of Nursing

The faculty at MGH Institute School of Nursing use state-of-the-art technology to teach nursing students at its Boston waterfront campus.

The school's skills lab, simulation lab, and physical assessment lab provide simulated hospital environments for nursing students developing their clinical skills.

The school has six interactive simulation manikins, including a birthing manikin and a pediatric manikin, to help you learn to treat a wide variety of symptoms and health situations. The labs, located on the main floor of the Institute's main academic building, are well-lit pleasant areas where you will spend much of your time learning basic nursing skills. Read more about our facilities and labs.

A nursing lab manager coordinates with students, faculty, administrators, and IT staff to ensure smooth running of the Nursing clinical labs.

During your clinical rotations – which occur during the first weeks of your education at MGH Institute School of Nursing - you will use the most current equipment at world-class hospitals such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Childrens Hospital Boston, and other health care facilities in Greater Boston.
