Online Prerequisites: Learner Support

While learning online in our Prerequisites program, you may be assured that you will be able to get the support you need.

Faculty-Led Instruction

We intentionally maintain a low student-to-faculty ratio to be sure that our students receive the attention and support that they need to be successful in their prerequisite studies. When you have questions or just need that extra bit of help, you can reach out to your instructor, teaching assistant or Lab Manager.

Meet some of the faculty who teach our prerequisite science courses:

We offer up to 30 minutes of free tutoring each week with approval of the instructor. Tutoring is provided by content experts in the field, and may be accomplished by telephone, in a face to face meeting or through visual media, as best suits both student and tutor.

Technology Support

Our Office of Information Technology provides a wide range of support to our online students and faculty at the IHP.

Library Support

The MGH Institute librarians are eager to help students enrolled in our prerequisite courses. You can reach them at Ask a Librarian and can contact them throughout the semester for assistance in finding information to support course assignments or to supplement assigned course content.
