Tabor/Connor Family Occupational Therapy Center for Learning, Participation, and Rehabilitation
In the Tabor/Connor Family Occupational Therapy Center for Learning, Participation, and Rehabilitation (Tabor/Connor OT CLiPR), students apply what they have learned in the classroom by providing pro-bono services to youth and adults from the greater Boston community who have a variety of physical, developmental, mental, or behavioral health needs that impact their ability to successfully participate in their lives. Experienced OT faculty and staff closely supervise the students.
Within the OT CLiPR is the Functional Living Lab (FLL), an apartment style setting where students guide clients to practice life skills such as self-care tasks, meal planning and cooking, budgeting, and pre-work skills.
Adult services consist of individual and groups opportunities where adults can participate in social, leisure, and wellness activities.
Pediatric services provide opportunities for youth to improve play, social interactions, mealtime, and movement activities through active engagement. Parents, caregivers, and family members are an integral part of developing and supporting children’s participation within sessions, home, and community activities.
The OT CLiPR is part of the IMPACT Practice Center at Two Constitution Wharf (2CW) in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
