Research at the Speech and Feeding Disorders Lab

The Speech and Feeding Disorders Lab (SFDL) is dedicated to improving the understanding of typical and disordered speech and feeding. Our current research projects are designed to identify the motor skills that are essential for normal speech and feeding development, to understand how various neurologic impairments, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), affect speech and swallowing, and to develop innovative methods for studying speech motor performance. Learn more about the SFDL.

If you are interested in having your child join our efforts to improve reading, find out how.
