October 25 and 26, 2005 - Introduction to DIBELS: An Assessment Tool That is Sweeping the Country
Would you like to use an assesment tool to quickly measure your student's phonics, phonetic awareness and fluency skills? Would you like an assessment for progress monitoring, screening and diagnosis?
The use of this instrument, Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills, is sweeping the country.  DIBELS are a set of brief assessments that measure the "vital signs" of early literacy and reading development.  DIBELS are designed to be used on an ongoing basis to chart student's early literacy and reading progress.  After completing the workshop participants will be able to reliably administer and score DIBELS measures.  This one day workshop is designed to provide:

  • an introduction to the big ideas of early literacy
  • Practice in administration and scoring of DIBELS measures

After completing the workshop participants will be able to reliably administer and score DIBELS measures.
