Attached is an announcement on transitioning medical care to Partners Preferred Providers for employees enrolled in one of the medical insurance through MGH.
Attached is an update on websites and provider directories available for employees who are enrolled in one of the medical health insurance plans offered by MGH. These address changes in coverage effective January 1, 2012.
PeopleSoft eBenefits
This online employee tool provides a convenient, secure, and effective method for employees to view or change critical Personnel/Payroll information and enroll for benefits and other services and programs at the Institute and MGH. Once you are set-up on PeopleSoft eBenefits you can go directly to the Login page.
IHP Intranet: To Request Time Off
Login to the IHP Intranet to request time off. You get your login information from IHP IT. Once you login, you will be on a page with a link to the time off application.
Note: On the manage time off page the buttons to switch to different months on the calendar widget are not particularly visible. Move your cursor to the right of the current month title to find the squares. The one closest to the title advances you to the next month. The one further to the right advances you to the next year. To go to previous months/years the respective squares are to the left of the current month title.

PartnersPulse
PartnersPulse is the Web site that houses information on many of the benefits listed here. There is a link as well for Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) HR forms. All faculty, staff and administrators at the Institute are considered MGH employees for payroll and benefits.

As an Institute employee, you ae eligible for a number of discounts and programs from organizations and retailers in the Boston area and nationally.

Leaves of Absences
Policies covering leaves and absences in a variety of situations are included here. You need to be on a Partners computer in order to access this information. You can also find it in our Faculty Manual [placeholder].
Childcare Services
Faculty, staff and students have both regular and emergency childcare resources available through Partners HealthCare, including first priority at The Children's Quarters Child Care Center located in Building 36.
Harvard University Employees Credit Union
All MGH Institute faculty, staff, students and alumni are eligible to join Harvard University Employees Credit Union. There is a Credit Union Branch in Building 149 in the Navy Yard.
Health and Wellness
Employee Assistance Program
The Partners HealthCare Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a workplace-based consultation, short-term counseling, information and referral program for employees and their families, as well as students of the MGH Institute who may be experiencing difficulties that affect their personal lives of work performance.
The EAP offers assistance with all types of personal, family or work-related concerns.
The EAP provides consultation and training to the workplace regarding the impact and resolution of behavioral/mental health and productivity problems; and it provides consultation and crisis intervention to work groups.
The EAP provides free, confidential and voluntary assessments, short-term problem focused counseling and referrals for treatment or other assistance, including a monthly support group for those involved with elder care.
The main EAP office is at 175 Charles River Park at MGH, but they also have offices at different Partners locations in the Greater Boston area, the North Shore, and on Cape Cod.

Fitness and Recreation
Some of the MGH Perks include discounts for health clubs/ apparel/ fitness around the greater Boston area, including a 10% discount on membership at the Constitution Inn YMCA here in the Navy Yard.
