Communication Sciences and Disorders

Welcome to the Speech, Language and Literacy Center (SLLC) at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, located in the Charlestown Navy Yard of Boston.

The Speech, Language and Literacy Center is part of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the graduate school.

We offer comprehensive assessment, therapy and specialty services for both developmental and acquired disorders of speech and language, helping people of all ages communicate more effectively. Learn more about the Speech Center services.

Clinicians at the Center

Graduate students enrolled in our Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program; and educators in our joint programs with Regis College for a Master of Arts in Teaching Reading and Merrimack College for a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Teacher Leadership, and those enrolled in our Reading Specialist Licensure certificate program work with children and adults with communication and reading difficulties. Our clinicians are mentored by certified and licensed faculty members of the CSD Department who closely supervise all sessions.
